3D Design + Automation Machines = Time and Cost Savings

Do you want to boost efficiency in control panel & switchgear design? A combination of 3D design and automated drilling machines will increase your profitability and save you time!

3D Design Improves Accuracy

When you design and construct control cabinets and switchgear, do you use a computer aided-engineering (CAE) software solution that allows you to design in 3D? If not, why not? By designing in 3D, you can save yourself a significant amount of time, because you can lay out devices and see where any possible collisions could happen and avoid them, adapt copper busbars and wire components virtually in the design phase. This ensures errors are avoided, which increases the accuracy and saves a great deal of time and money in the manufacturing phase. In addition, you can save space in the enclosure by placing components close to each other and making optimum use of the space available. Using a CAE package like EPLAN Pro Panel which can automatically calculate the optimum wiring routes for wires and cables, will give you more time to spend completing other tasks, which in turn increases your productivity.

A Combination of 3D Design and Automation Machines – The Most Efficient Solution

EPLAN Pro Panel integrates with Rittal Automation Systems’ (RAS) machines, like the Perforex, and provides companies, who both design and manufacture control panels, the possibility to become more efficient. EPLAN Pro Panel automatically generates digital data, such as information for drilled holes, threads or cut-outs, which works seamlessly with RAS machines, because it is exported directly into NC processing machines for efficient manufacturing. All you have to do is place the panel onto the Perforex machine and it will drill holes accurately based on the data from EPLAN Pro Panel, for any material including spray-finished sheet steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper and plastic. This significantly reduces the amount of time required to drill holes into a panel and produces panels that are identical and error-free, reducing scrap. Is this is only beneficial if I produce a lot of control panels? No! The machine is efficient with just a single enclosure, meaning that there is a great return on investment for everyone who purchases it.
