Are Eplan training courses available online? Yes, and they're here to stay!

The EPLAN Training Academy has greatly expanded its range of online training courses in the past few months. Is this an emergency solution?

Harald Weiß: Not at all! Of course, the current challenges have meant that we had to find an adequate alternative to the tried and tested on-site events at short notice. And I am still convinced that personal contact with the trainer and the opportunity to exchange ideas with other Eplan users are very important for learning success. But that doesn't mean that our online training courses are “second choice”. On the contrary: the online training offer has many advantages for our course participants. Thanks to modern communication solutions such as Citrix, exchange and dialogue are also made possible without problems in virtual training rooms.

Apart from the web-based possibilities for personal exchange: What specific advantages do you see in the online training courses from Eplan?

Above all, the flexibility with which the participants can plan their training courses. You can dial into your training session regardless of location, a stable internet connection is sufficient. You don't have to worry about installing communication software or Eplan licenses: We provide the complete online learning environment, as well as all the required master data and documents. Another plus are of course the cost and time savings due to the omission of the business trip.

Do the participants in the online training courses have to expect content-related reductions compared to the face-to-face events?

No, the content and topics of the online training courses do not differ quantitatively or qualitatively from the face-to-face events in our training centres. An example: Our basic training courses on core products such as Eplan Electric P8 and Eplan Pro Panel are particularly popular. It is important here to communicate important basic knowledge so that users can get to know our software and use it optimally in their daily work. And of course that has to be ensured regardless of whether you dial into our training from your home office or visit our training centre (when they re-open).
